Christina Schildknecht ist verheiratet und hat zwei Töchter sowie drei Enkelkinder.Zum Künstler:Rudolf Mirer ist ein kultureller Botschafter, weit über die Grenzen seiner Bündner Heimat hinaus. Geboren 1937, schaffte er rasch den Durchbruch als Maler und Grafiker. Er wurde u.a. zum 50-jährigen Bestehen der Vereinten Nationen in New York ausgewählt, drei Sondermarken für die USA, Österreich und die Schweiz zu gestalten;im Jahr 2005 folgte eine Sondermarke zum 500-jährigen Bestehen der Schweizer Garde in Rom im Auftrag des Vatikans;zum Thema "Flüchtlingsschutz" schuf er für die UNO die Lithographie «At Home All Over The World». At the same time, it invites them to immerse themselves into the fantasy of the fairy tale of «The Sun and the Moon» «Die Sonne und der Mond».The Author:Christina Schildknecht, née Winkfield, born in 1944, grew up in Northern England. She studied music and education, and after her graduation, became a music teacher in London. Christina Schildknecht moved to Switzerland in 1969, where she continued to teach music with great dedication, both in English and in German. Christina Schildknecht is married, has two daughters and three grandchildren.The Artist:Rudolf Mirer was born in Chur, Switzerland in 1937. He studied at the Textile College in St. Gallen and after that worked as a successful freelance textile designer and artist. He received international acknowledgement in 1993 when he created the lithograph «At Home All Over The World» for the United Nations. In 1996 he designed a special stamp series to celebrate the 500-year anniversary of this organisation, and was honoured in New York for this work.
